Zitec has the pleasure of announcing the anniversary of 5 years of activity
in the Romanian and international software industry.
Founded in June 2003 by a team of three individuals that formed the present-day management of the company, and with an initial investment lower than 3000 Euros, Zitec boasts today a convincing profile, with a team of over 30 specialist programmers, and with a 2008 turnover estimated at 800,000 Euros, 50 % higher than in 2007.
In its 5 years of activity, Zitec has achieved a solid reputation as a supplier
of professional software solutions, both for clients in Romania (30 % of its
portfolio in 2007), and for clients in countries such as the United States,
Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Denmark, including famous brands such
as J.W. Marriott, Bullguard, Global Learning Semesters, Proventys-McKesson,
Polar Rose, Amadeus International, La Farge, Revista Tabu, Excelent (Rom Autentic),
Romania Libera, Sony Center, Aiesec.
Besides the consulting services and outsourcing of web and desktop (Windows/Linux)
applications, Zitec developed and implemented its own software products, such
as

launched in Canada, Toronto, at the LinuxWorld festival (April 19 -
20, 2005), by our zonal partner - Maribal; Zidox (www.zidox.com) - an innovative system for managing documents; Izuvio (www.izuvio.com) -
an e-commerce platform; or Analyzer - a platform for financial and stock-related
assistance and forecast.
At the same time, Zitec is the sole representative of Zend (The PHP Company with products such as Zend Studio, Zend Platform, Zend Guard, Zend Optimizer, Zend Engine, and MySQL representative in Romania, meeting the performance and consistence criteria pertaining to applications targeting large companies.
Even if it does not benefit from the financial or human resources of larger
firms or corporations, Zitec was significantly involved in supporting and
sponsoring several non-profit projects in different areas (cultural, educational,
artistic or sports), such as: The Fotogeografica Festival (2004, 2005, 2006,
2007, 2008), The Alpinet.org project CloudClimbing.ro, ElisabetaRizea.ro, Invitatie in Carpati (www.iic.ro), The Virtual Encyclopedia Ion Creanga, The Forward Portal
for AIESEC Bucharest.
Zitec follows a continuous process of consolidating its position as an important
know-how exporter in terms of developing complex and far-reaching software
projects of great impact, and of launching its own software products, with
a high degree of flexibility.
Besides the software outsourcing services it offers to its clients and the
implementation of its own products, Zitec is also a partner in two start-up
companies in the United States, thus developing innovative solutions you are
