EZ Upload targets web applications that require a high volume of large file transfers between
visitors and server, as an alternative to classic approaches (which usually have 2-8 MB size limit
and no resume function).
EZ Upload is a Java Applet (1.4.x), thus ensuring cross-browser compatibility, as long as the user's computer has Java support.
Functions list:
- cross-browser (Java Applet)
- easy integration with other web applications (PHP API available, other languages upon request)
- integrated user rights system (download, upload and delete rights)
- uses only HTTP and HTTPS protocols (available almost everywhere; high security for sensitive applications)
- unlimited size&number file transfer (only limited by available free space on server)
- upload & download queue management
- tree operations (folder upload/download and recursive operations)
- direct file access, local and remote (eg: file delete)
- Resume function (after disconnection, when the connection is reestablished the file transfer will start from where it was interrupted, not from file beginning)
- friendly user interface, drag&drop and right-click functions
- SSL protection (upon request);

Here are some general examples of applications that could greatly benefit from using EZ Upload:
- on-line photo sites that provide photo printing and delivery (uploading just 2 to 8 MB images, one by one, gives a hard time to the customer, therefore not many orders)
- websites that require high data transfer from and to the visitor, without having FTP access (the visitors have access just to HTTP & HTTPS)
- personal Online Backup Services
- Intranet web software that require clients to upload big files to the main server, while not being very IT skilled.
(eg. promotion, print, advertising companies etc)

As the graphical interface is quite common (as most FTP clients) users have an easy time using the application.
The applet uses two main panels, for local and remote file view.
Download&Upload queue and statistics are available in the lower region, trough a tab panel.
In order to get files in the download&upload queue, the user may either drag&drop the files from the two panels, or mouse select them and by choosing the appropriate command from the right-click menu.
