Project Description

The Proventys platform incorporates multivariate statistical models developed and validated by medical and scientific experts. These models integrate various information from the clinical history of the patient, such as the type and present stage of the illness, the demographic factors (age, sex, social class, level of education, profession), the history of treatments and diagnoses, the sensitivity to certain drugs, allergies, and other factors.

Through these predictive models, the Proventys application generates individual patient risk scores and proposes treatment recommendations according to published clinical guidelines.

Since the initiation of the software development project, the application has undergone continuous improvement and testing with users. In this sense, it started with a model of extreme programming which responded to the need to create fast prototypes and it continued with a classic mode of software development (the spiral analysis, implementation, testing, implementation). Moreover, new facilities and functionalities are being integrated and adapted to the emerging technologies in the healthcare field.

At this point in time, the Proventys platform is an investigational device not yet approved by the US Federal Drug Administration for commercialization.
